How we use cookies on JobDoceo

This Cookie Policy explains how JobDoceo uses cookies and similar technologies such as local storage, session storage, and IndexedDB when you visit jobdoceo.com and related JobDoceo web applications.

It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and the live consent technology inventory published with our consent policy. This page is informational and is not legal advice.

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. Similar technologies include browser local storage, session storage, and IndexedDB, which applications may use to keep short-lived or device-local state.

Some technologies are first-party (set by JobDoceo). Others, if introduced later, may be provided by third parties. Today JobDoceo’s active inventory is first-party and focused on running the product securely.

During Beta, JobDoceo uses cookies and similar technologies to:

• Authenticate you and keep sessions secure across JobDoceo subdomains
• Protect against cross-site request forgery and complete OAuth sign-in flows
• Remember your consent decision and policy version
• Apply interface settings you explicitly choose, such as theme and language
• Preserve product workflow state while you complete a flow you started (for example Autopilot onboarding or an ATS scan)
• Optionally remember layout preferences when you allow the Preferences category

Essential technologies are required for JobDoceo to operate securely and provide the core product. They cannot be switched off through Cookie Settings because the service would not work without them.

• Authentication and session cookies (access, refresh, and related session flags)
• Security tokens such as CSRF protection and OAuth flow cookies
• Anonymous session continuity for ATS flows before login
• The shared consent cookie that stores your category choices
• Theme and locale as essential UI settings you explicitly select
• Short-lived product workflow storage used only while you run related flows

Theme and language preferences are classified as Essential interface settings. They are not used for advertising or profiling.

Preferences are optional. When enabled, JobDoceo may remember non-essential interface states such as:

• Feedback launcher position
• Collapsed sidebar state in the platform app or Autopilot
• Whether a product boot splash has already run in the current tab

If you reject Preferences, these keys are not written. Features continue to work with default in-memory behavior (for example a default launcher position or an expanded sidebar).

On first visit, JobDoceo shows a consent banner so you can accept all optional categories, reject optional categories, or customize your choices.

You can reopen Cookie Settings later from the site footer or equivalent controls. Changing Preferences from allowed to rejected clears optional preference storage keys listed in the consent inventory.

Where the environment supports it, JobDoceo scopes shared first-party cookies to .jobdoceo.com so one consent choice and authentication session can apply across:

• jobdoceo.com
• auth.jobdoceo.com
• app.jobdoceo.com
• autopilot.jobdoceo.com

Localhost and other non-production environments may use host-only cookies instead. Admin Web is out of scope for the public consent banner in this release.

JobDoceo may rely on third-party services to deliver features you request (for example cloud infrastructure or authentication providers). Those services are governed by their own terms and policies.

This Cookie Policy does not claim the presence of advertising pixels, marketing SDKs, or analytics trackers on JobDoceo web surfaces in the current Beta inventory. If third-party tracking technologies are introduced, they will appear in the consent technology catalog and this policy will be updated.

We may update this Cookie Policy as JobDoceo evolves. Each published version includes a version number, effective date, and change summary. Previous published versions remain available for review.

Consent policy versioning is independent from this legal document. A new consent prompt is required only when optional categories, purposes, third parties, or retention change materially, or when the published consent policy sets requiresRenewal.
